A freshly updated Type Testing Template
Slowly, I’ve been upgrading this template, adding more layouts, combinations and characters to the mix. This template is now a 16 page tester template, which is available in the typeheist.co shop.

I’m very excited to release a brand new Type Testing Template. It’s been lovingly updated from a single page document to a comprehensive 16 page guide to help you test your own fonts, easily. There are programs out there that can help you achieve a similar thing, however this template allows you to test in the programs you’re used to: Figma and Illustrator.
I’d previously used a one pager in Illustrator to test Typeheist’s handwritten fonts (ensuring everything looks great). It included sample text for testing fonts such as list of words with common and uncommon character combinations. Think ‘bubble’ or ‘axolotyl’. It also contains paragraphs of sample text so you could get an idea of what your font would look like in a real-world environment such as a book or document.

Slowly, I’ve been upgrading this template, adding more layouts, combinations and characters to the mix. This template is now a 16 page tester template, which is available in the typeheist.co shop.
You can still access the free version here (it will always remain free), or there is also a basic web version up on the Typeheist blog.
I hope this does wonders for your workflow like it did for mine. Looking forward to hearing your feedback.
Happy testing,
Laura
